The Man Who Always Missed the Train
Ken loved trains. Every morning, he went to the station with his camera. He wanted to take the perfect photo of a special train that passed through the station once a day.
But there was one problem.
Ken always missed it.
One day, he arrived five minutes late.
The next day, the train came early.
Another day, his camera battery died.
“Why does this always happen to me?” Ken sighed.
One morning, Ken decided to arrive very early. The sky was still dark when he reached the station. There was only one other person there—an old man sitting quietly on a bench.
“You like trains?” the old man asked with a smile.
“Yes,” Ken said. “But I always miss the best one.”
The old man laughed softly.
“Sometimes,” he said, “the best moment is not the train. It is the waiting.”
Ken looked around. The morning sky slowly turned orange. Birds began to sing. The station felt peaceful and beautiful.
Then the special train arrived.
Ken took his camera and captured the perfect photo. But this time, he was smiling before he even pressed the shutter.
Because he finally understood something.
The best part of the journey…
was being there.
