Understanding Sense as a Circuit
Think of your mind as a simple electrical circuit. In this circuit, a battery 🔋 represents the information you receive, and a light bulb 💡 represents your understanding or sense of that information.
Closed circuit: All connections are complete → electricity flows → the bulb 💡 lights up → you understand or make sense of the information.
Open circuit: Some connection is broken → electricity cannot flow → the bulb 💡 stays off → you cannot understand, the sense is missing.
Visualizing it step by step:
- 🔋 Battery → receives information
- 🔌 Wires → connections in your mind
- 💡 Light bulb → understanding / sense
So, “sense” is like the flow of electricity: when the circuit in your mind is complete, understanding happens. When the circuit is broken, the meaning or function is lost.
In short:
- Electricity flows 🔋→💡 → sense exists
- Electricity blocked 🔋—💡 → sense missing
This simple circuit metaphor helps visualize how understanding (sense) works in your brain: it connects information to comprehension, just like wires connect a battery to a bulb.
